Cables for oil wells’ heating
APPLICATION
Heating cables are widely used in oil and gas industry for elimination of wax scurfs on wells’ underground equipment. Occurrence of wax on the tubing walls of the tubing string is caused by oil supersaturation because of oil temperature reduction and gassing during liquid movement from bottomhole to collar. Thermal method of wax scurfs elimination using heating cables allows to automatize the process on the base of operation of oil well temperature field. Using of the units with wells’ electroheating system allows to increase oil production in 1,3-2 times, to decrease number of underground repairs in 2 times, there is no need of washing and chemical treatment of wells.
STRUCTURE
Carrying wire - stranded from steel wires
Insulation - cross-linked polyethylene
Heating element - lay from 20 insulated copper wires diameter 0,9 mm and 2 thermocouple wires
Protective layer - sheath from cross-linked polyethylene
