Wire with protective insulation for aerial networks

The wire meets the requirements of Specs. 16. Ê 71-272-98 and Finish standard SFS 5791

APPLICATION

The wires are designed for using in aerial and lightening networks at nominal alternating voltages up to 0,6; 1 kV, nominal frequency 50 Hz.

STRUCTURE

Wire with protective insulation for aerial networks

  • Core - aluminium alloy ABE, multi-wires, compacted
  • Sheath - cross-linked photostabilized polyethylene
  • Cross-linked photostabilized polyethylene sheath around core
  • SPECIFICATION

The wire meets the requirements of Specs. 16. Ê 71-272-98 and Finish standard SFS 5791

    ADVANTAGES OF SELF-CARRYING WIRES

    1. High reliability and uninterruptible power supply.
    2. Reduction of running costs and due to exclusion of systematic routs?cleaning and change of damaged insulators.
    3. Reduction of power losses in line due to reduction of reactance (0,1 Ohm/km compared to 0,35 Ohm/km for bare wires).
    4. Possibility of joint wire hanging on supporting piers with different voltage level and with telephone lines.
    5. Easy installation and maintenance, especially under voltage.
    6. Reduction of emergency an d reconstruction works.
    7. Absence or slight covering of insulated wire surface with ice and wet snow.
    8. Possibility of electric mains construction without deforestation.
    9. Possibility of electric mains installation along building facades, so it can exclude installation of some supporting piers blocking up the pavements and improve aesthetics in city conditions.
    10. Exception of fire hazard in case of wires falling on the ground.
    11. Exception of short circuit hazard between phase wires or to the ground.
    12. High service safety and lack of risk of electrical shock if touching phase wires under voltage.
    13. Safe work near electric mains.
    14. Reduction of possibility of electric power theft and destruction.

    WHAT DISTINGUISHES SELF-CARRYING WIRES
    BY JSC "SARANSKKABEL" PLANT?

    1. Use of thickened steel wire increases strength. More comfortable for installation. Absence of sagging.
    2. Use of cross-linked PE insulation allows to increase core heating permissible temperature by 2 times in normal conditions, in overload conditions - by 1,5 times, in short circuit conditions - by 2 times.
    3. "Rosendahl" high-speed extrusion line allows to improve insulation quality and provides high technical characteristics.
    4. "Rosendahl" take-up device provides good core grooming on take-up drum.
    5. Set of measuring and control equipment provides precise geometrical and electrical parameters of insulated core.
    6. Core stranding done on modern high-productive "Drum Twister" machine (England) provides observance of all technological stranding parameters.
